Cheap, Healthy Weekend, 03/20-03/22

Before the weekend kicks off, we try to post a list of healthy eats deals - including produce, lean meats, and coupon matchups on healthier items. This can slash your produce and meat budget, even without a huge coupon stash, so look out for Cheap, Healthy Weekend in the future. Doubles coupons up to $0.99 every day, and accepts Safeway coupons.
Bloom
Doing triple coupons this weekend - see the posted comprehensive list of Bloom triple coupon matchups.
  • Strawberries, BOGO 1 lb. containers for $3.99 (~$2/lb.)
  • Blueberries, blackberries, raspberries BOGO at $3.99/container (weights unknown)
  • 3-packs of Romaine hearts, BOGO at $3.29 (this makes many more salads than a $3 bagged salad!)
  • Tilapia fillets, $3.99/lb. (these are normally $5-8/lb.) Omegazzzzzzz!
  • 5-lb. bag of grapefruit, $3.49
  • Sweet potatoes, $0.69/lb.
  • Celery, $1.29/lb. (normally $1.99/lb.)
  • Yoplait Yogurt/Yoghurt is 20 for $10 ($0.50/each). Use this $1/8 Internet printable coupon for Yoplait to make them $0.37/each.
  • Muir Glen Can of crushed tomatoes, $2.79 (normally $2.99). Use the recent $0.75 off Muir Glen product 02/08 SmartSource coupon to get $2.25 off, making it $0.54. (In the past, I've had success with the $1.29 tomato paste cans getting me $0.96 overage, so...might be worth a try!)
  • Motts Apple Sauce (Large Jar) is $2.00. Use this $0.55/1 printable to make it $0.35/jar!
  • Welch's Light Juice, $2.99. Use the $0.75/1 (03/08 SS) to make it $0.74 each!

  • Shady Brook Farms Ground Turkey is BOGO at $4.49 for the 1.3-lb package. This makes it just $1.72/lb when you buy two. Great stock-up price! I've been mixing ground turkey in with the ground beef for my meatballs; it reduces the price and tastes great.
  • Lucerne Yogurt is .40/cup when you buy 10.
