Today = MANY Online Free Shipping Offers, Plus Double Cash Back Cyber Monday 2 at ebates.com, Up to 12% Cash Back on Purchases Made Online

I have a theory that you should never have to pay for shipping on an item ordered during the holiday season. Here are some free shipping deals for today. Many shipping deals end 12/20 because that is the last day that certain online retailers can conceivably guarantee everyone delivery by Christmas. (Of course, after then you'll start to see a few "free rush delivery" offers, but for now we'll focus on the "free delivery" offers.)

Remember to go to the ebates site first when shopping online to earn cash back - I've got about $15 cash back earned so far this holiday season just for clicking to my favorite retailers' websites through ebates before I start my shopping there. And today, there is DoubleCash Back (they call it "Cyber Monday 2") at over 400 stores when you click through ebates, including Ann Taylor Loft, Barnes & Noble, Eddie Bauer, Gap, and Godiva, just to name a few!

Here's a small sampling. For the complete list of free shipping and double cash back deals going on today, go to ebates, then click on the Coupons tab at the top, and then click "Free Shipping" under "Filter by Type" in the column to the right.
  • Macy's: Free Shipping with $99 purchase, using code GIFTS, through 12/20. 5% cash back when you click to the Macy's site through ebates!
  • DSW (Designer Shoe Warehouse): Free shipping with $35 order with SHIPR through 12/17. 8% cash back when you click to the DSW site through ebates!
  • Adidas: Free shipping with $49 order (no code required, good through 12/16), and 12% cash back when you click through ebates!
  • Adobe (software): Free shipping on all purchases through 12/20, plus 10% cash back when you click to the Adobe site through ebates.
  • Aeropostale: Free shipping with $100 order (through 12/20), plus 8% cash back when clicking through ebates.
  • Apple: All orders ship free. 1% cash back through ebates.
  • Athleta (Gap/Old Navy's athletic wear for women): SHIP2ME code makes shipping and returns free on orders over $50, through 01/31/2011. 2% cash back when you click to the Athleta site thorugh ebates.
  • Babies 'R Us: free shipping over $100 as always, 2-4% cash back when clicking to the BRU site through ebates. (And, ohhhhh it is all too easy to spend $100 if you are baby shopping. Just some diapers and wipes would get you about halfway there.)
  • Backcountry (outdoors stuff - Patagonia, North Face, etc.): Orders over $50 ship free through 12/31 (no code required), plus 10% cash back when clicking to the Backcountry site through ebates.
  • Barnes & Noble, ships free over $25, plus 8% cash back when you click through ebates.
Just a reminder to check out our classic post "Free Shipping - Is It Really Worthwhile?" One way that I filter my shopping options when I get excited about a free shipping deal is to ask myself: If I were standing in a store holding this item (/these items), would I be as excited to get them? This helps to figure out if I'm heading toward an unnecessary impulse purchase or not.

That said, double cash back and free shipping to your door on items that you would have bought anyway totally beats heading out in the cold to brave the crowds at the mall!

Disclosure: if you sign up for ebates using our ebates referral link above, we will receive $5 bonus thanks to you if you happen to make a $20 purchase within 90 days. You'll receive a $5 starting bonus, too!

$10 off $10 Purchase At JCPenney ONLINE!

When you spend at least $10 on JCPenney's website, you can get $10 off your purchase by using code GO4TEN. Although you'll pay around $6 for shipping, this is a great deal! Here are some creative ways that you can work that $6-shipped price on $10 items (must meet or exceed $10 total):
  • Maternity Wear - normally very expensive, because when you find yourself shopping for maternity wear, they've "got" you! There are a ton of maternity and nursing related products here, which could be had for very cheaply - like a LOT of tops marked down to $10.99 - making them around $7 shipped! Even if you're not pregnant, consider it an opportunity to brighten the day of someone in your life who is expecting. What's not to like about an unexpected package just for the mama-to-be?

  • Speaking of mamas-to-be or new mamas, you could also send some very cute baby outfits inexpensively in honor of a baby shower or birth.

  • All shoes ship free. I also spy some cute summer-theme handbags for under $10, so with a cheap item thrown on top you could have someone's spring or summer 2011 birthday or other gift taken care of!

  • Teen boys' clearance has a 70% off section. Time to dress the dudes in your life cheaply!

  • Chocolate brown leather Isotoner 100% cashmere-lined gloves (size 6.5, small), $16.99. After $10 discount, you'll pay just $13 for originally-priced-at-$54 gloves. If you know a lady with smaller hands, this would be a great stocking stuffer - or a nice gift of appreciation for your kids' piano teacher (...tutor...schoolteacher...mail lady...hairdresser...etc.!).
Remember that Christmas is just around the corner - I even saw Christmas decorations ALREADY in Target today (yeesh!). If you pick up clearanced items and pay only $6 or so to ship, you're stocking up your gift stash very inexpensively. :) Click through to the JCPenney site via ebates for 3% cash back.

As a disclaimer, if you sign up for ebates under our ebates link (here), we will receive cash back thanks to you. You'll receive a starting bonus, too

VistaPrint Deals @ Moneywise Moms

Gina posted a link to some FREEBIES at VistaPrint. Go check out her post and make your way over to VistaPrint from there for some freebies!

Ironically I made my way to the site via her blog, and then once I was ready to order I went to ebates (as I do with nearly all online orders) to click back through the VistaPrint site (they were offering 5% cash back). Clicking through ebates seems to eliminate the freebie offers activated by Gina's affiliate link, though, so be sure to go through Gina's link for 10 freebies:
  • Sticky notepad
  • Photo calendar
  • Mouse pad
  • Business cards
  • Address return labels (or as I ordered them: Personalized To/From Christmas package labels)
  • Photo tote bag
  • Photo notebook
  • Mug
...and more!! There is a nominal initial shipping fee, and after that, a little bit ($1-2) added per item. I ordered 9 of the freebies, and the shipping/processing came to around $23.14...so...like $2.57 per item. Cheap considering that most items on the list are $10-$20 retail from these photo sites. Grandparents' Day is just around the corner!

30% Off Through Sunday: Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Gap Outlet and Banana Republic Outlet

Use this coupon to get 30% off in-store at Gap, Old Navy, Banana Republic, Gap Outlet and Banana Republic Outlet. It is good through Sunday. 5% of purchases associated with this coupon will also go to Feeding America. (Thanks Crystal and Lisa for this link.) If you receive Gap or Old Navy or BR emails, you are likely to have this coupon sitting in your inbox, which has a one time use only online shopping coupon code. Flat rate shipping for shopping from all three sites is $7. Going through ebates will save you an additional 2% off at these stores in the form of cash back when you're shopping on line.

I managed a trip to Potomac Mills with this very coupon, and the Gap outlet store was hoppin'. The clearance racks for each sections were kind of minimized and there was a LOT of new merchandise on display, nearly all of which was marked as being 20-40% off the lowest ticketed price. (Then I was mentally subtracting about another third off the discounted price for the coupon burnin' a hole in the bottom basket of our stroller.)

Here's a very rough price guidelines for the price after coupon. I didn't hit the men or boys' sections because my husband doesn't need anything and I don't have boys. If anybody wants to comment with pricing on these, though, go ahead!

  • Women's sweaters and cardigans: $15-$25
  • Women's light-tissue tees in a wide variety of colors, including many with embellished necklines: $10-$20
  • Women's denim: ~$20-$25 (Most priced at $45 with 20-30% off the lowest ticketed price, then subtract the coupon) - there is a LARGE selection
  • Women's wrap dresses, around $20-$25 after all discounts
  • Long-sleeved v-neck shirts on the clearance rack, $4.99, minus 30% for the coupon, down to $3.50!
Girls' section:
  • Short and long-sleeved T-shirts starting from around $6 through $12, so more like $4.20 thorugh $8.40
  • New not-yet-marked-down girls' skinny jeans are $24.99, so after coupon, $17.50ish. Other girls' jeans and pants will go down as low as $10ish with coupon.
  • Capri leggings in a wide variety of colors (shown layered under a denim skirt as a wearing option) are $9.99 - so $7 after coupon
  • Girls' fall shoes mostly marked $16-$20ish, so $11.20ish is as low as most will get (unless you buy shoes on clearance). This is comparable with Target's shoe prices for young girls.
So, you will definitely get cheap-for-Gap prices with it, and if you snag something from the clearance racks you will do that much better. Me? I was trying to resist the urge to purchase the entire girls' back-to-school section. ;)

SWEET Deal on Lands' End: 20%+2% Off Any Item, + Free Shipping!

Sweet poplin blouses, this is a good deal: get 20% off your Lands' End item of your choice (the highest priced item in your order), plus free shipping, when you enter the Promotion Code AUG5 and PIN 168850043 Edit to add: so sorry - unlike past Lands' End promos, this one turns out to be a one-time-use only code. D'oh! I didn't even get to use my own code, I was in such a hurry to share the deal with you all. But for those of you who have signed up to receive Lands' End emails, you'll have one of your own in your email box! Many thanks to the reader who commented to alert me to this.

Go to the Lands' End site through ebates and you'll receive 2% cash back, as well! This offer is good through August 5.

This is a terrific example of a rare promo where free shipping and a discount intersect - making a chance to freshen up your wardrobe for a fraction of the price. Think ahead to fall and winter. Lands' End is a great source for outerwear, especially high quality, warm winter jackets that your kids can wear for a season or two and then pass along to someone else for additional wear! Also think through Christmas possibilities - even if you don't know someone's size, the home section offers some ideas for cozy gifts.

Here are some ideas of the bargains you can get by shopping through the Overstocks section of the Lands' End site:

Women:
Girls:
Men:
Boys:
  • Shoes, including athletic tennis shoes, starting at $5.99, or $4.69 after 20% discount and 2% ebates cash back.
  • Shirts from $4.99, though the site says that you can save $2.50 each when you buy three. If this is stackable with the 20%, you'd get two shirts for $2.49 and one for $2, with free shipping, 2% cash back not even included in this calculation!

Diapers Deal - 50% off on Amazon, Pick Your Brand!

There is a big deal on diapers on Amazon.com! (I originally spotted it yesterday on Money Saving Mom - thanks, Crystal! - but it has spread like wildfire on the blogosphere!) I just did this order last night and got them down to $0.11/ea. (Compared with when I buy them bulk at Sam's Club, when they can run close to $0.30/ea.!) I hope that the deal still stands.

FIRST, get your hands on an August 2010 Parents magazine - if you're a subscriber, great! I am (via a free subscription from RewardsGold), and mine just arrived in the last week. My twist on this deal: I am pretty sure that any generously-sized newsstand at Wal-Mart, the grocery store, etc. would have this magazine, so keep your eyes peeled. (I'm guessing that the magazine can't cost more than about $3, and the coupon inside will save you at least $8, so you're still saving at least $5 additionally even when you hunt down the magazine in stores for the coupon.) There is a coupon right in the middle for 20% off any one unit of diapers at Amazon.com (expires 08/31/2010).

Then:

You will stack the personal one-time-use-only coupon code found on this Parents magazine Amazon coupon with the currently-running deal on the Amazon Diaper page that gives you up to 30% off when you Subscribe and Save. You'll get 50% off - I got a $40 box of 176 size 4 Pampers Baby Dry for a few cents over $20! And delivered straight to my door by Friday, it says. One less thing I have to haul at the store. :)

I'm not sure how much longer Amazon will be running the 30% discount, so jump on this deal today if you need to get yourself some diapers!

Note: We are Amazon affiliates. Thanks for supporting us!

Dairy-Free 5-Star Enjoy Life Chocolate Chips, $0.64/10 oz. bag, on Amazon!!

Edit: Reader Kendra informed us that as of around noon on Wednesday, this deal is sold out! Wow, those went quickly, considering I bought some on Tuesday night around 10 p.m. Thanks so much for letting us know, Kendra!

I did a double, then a triple take at this deal under the Manager's Special.

You can get twelve 10-oz. bags of Enjoy Life Semi-Sweet Dairy-Free Chocolate Chips for just $7.76, shipped! Simply Subscribe and Save for the $7.76 price (you can cancel it in your Amazon account's Subscribe and Save listing after your first order, no hassle whatsoever - I do it all the time!). The list price of this is $56.28, so this is an 86% savings.

That's a unit price of just $0.64/bag - for a product that has twenty 5-star reviews (and no lesser-starred reviews). These are also gluten-free and soy-free.

Though we're not a dairy-free household, with that many glowing reviews and such a low price, I'm game, that's for sure! Chocolate chip pumpkin muffins and oatmeal chocolate chip cookies are favorites in our household.

Saving at The Children's Place During Monster Sale - In Person and Online!

The Monster Sale is now going on at the Children's Place. If there's a child (or a few) in your life who needs wardrobing, you can score some really good deals, often getting separates (shirts, skirts, and pants) at under $5 each, and dresses, jackets, etc. in the neighborhood of $10 or less. Girls' tights can be bought for two and a half bucks per pair or less. If you're feeling especially bold, you can buy up a size or two in anticipation of winter 2010/2011. Besides that point, we (argh) have a couple of months at least of colder weather to go, so the clearanced long sleeve shirts and corduroy pants can still get almost a full season of wear right now - and jeans and light jackets (and other layering pieces) will take you all the way through spring.

Incidentally, now that I'm home with an infant and my almost-three-year-old, I'm starting to weigh the pros and cons of online Children's Place shopping against visiting the CP outlet at Potomac Mills. I've never shopped CP online before, mainly because with a growing child it was a lot easier to visit the outlet in person - and I also like to see the sizes and quality for myself before buying when possible. But now that I've shopped at Children's Place outlet for a couple of years, I'm more familiar with what CP makes to last (jeans and belts, for example), and what usually falls apart after a season (shoes, at least in my experience). This especially useful now that I have two girls, because I know what's worth the investment given that items could possibly last through a second wearing by my younger daughter.

Since I now know generally what I'm in for quality-wise, I'm considering visiting CP online to shop for denim and other staples for my girls. Yes, I'd probably pay $5 to ship the whole thing, but to save the gas money to Woodbridge (Potomac Mills) and the hassle of wrangling an active toddler and a nursing infant might make paying that shipping fee worthwhile for once! Also, code C99AA will get me a 15% discount (thanks, Baby Cheapskate!), so that will take the edge off. Clicking through ebates.com to the Children's Place site will also net me 3% cash back. There is a brand new free shipping code that was just posted to RetailMeNot.com, so I may check that out as well.

BUT, if I decide to (deep, cleansing breaths) ultimately make the trek with the two girls to the CP outlet, I will definitely be bringing this 15% off January 2010 coupon with me (with thanks to the Coupon Divas!).

Are you shopping Children's Place right now? Are you going in person or online? If you've been to a bricks-and-mortar Children's Place location recently, how are its Monster Sale prices/selection comparing with the online prices and selection?
.
Disclosure: if you join ebates through our referral link, we will earn $5 (thank you!) for referring you.
