Weekly Meal Deal

Buy one Hormel Fully Cooked Entree, all varieties, 17 oz. packages ($1.50/1, 02/07 SS, or $1/1), and get a FREE Country Crock Side Dish, all varieties, 20 oz.-24 oz. Maybe $0.40/1?

Nevertheless if the $1/1 doubles with a doubler, you'll get $2 off the entree, plus a free side dish.

================================

Whew! Clearly I need to plan my next trip to use my doublers. But, I already made one trip today. I filled my cart with the King David Matzos - it's a big ginormous club-sized pack of 5 1-lb. boxes shrink-wrapped - retails $9.99. I also bought a large piece of corned beef @$5.19, and $15.45 worth of Nature's Promise products.

SO:

$9.99
$5.19
$15.45
--------
Subtotal: $30.63 + tax

Subtracted: $5 Catalina from last week's Edy's deal, FREEBIE coupon for the Matzo from Giant ad.

Paid: a little over $16

What did I learn from this? For one, the matzo coupon does not preclude the $9.99 of matzo from counting toward your $25 total. ALSO, in-store ads for this week all have this freebie coupon (unlike the dollar doubler coupons, which only appear in the ads mailed to your house). This means ANY time this week that you are buying at least $15 of groceries at Giant, you should toss those matzos in the cart! The King David matzos were on a special side shelf especially set up in the kosher food aisle.

Thank you so much! I love your posts on Giant deals. I was going to email you earlier to say I got the double coupons too. What a great week at Giant.

BTW: I got the 5 1.5qt of Edys ice cream yesterday. Thanks. The catalina machine jammed (again) but the customer service is fantastic and gave me the $5 cash without even looking at my receipt. Love Giant.

I just checked my mail today and found coupons from Giant. There is a RedPlum flier with a Pizza Boli's ad on the front. One of the fliers inside is a 2 page spread of coupons for frozen items from Giant totaling $19. Some of these aren't great (must buy 2 or more to use them) but they are all $1 or more coupons, which is great for anyone who hasn't used their coupon doublers this week. Some of the brands included: Birdseye, Bryers, Bertolli, Healthy Choice, Edy's and several more. I thought I'd let you know because this is the kind of mail that often gets tossed in our house.
