My husband and I are big fans of The Melting Pot. We go there on a "big date" every 1-2 years.
As you may know, The Melting Pot is an expensive place to eat. We have come up with 2 ways to save and make it more affordable.
Tried & True Saving Ideas
(1) We redeem our accumulated credit card points once a year for several store or restaurant gift cards. In 2009, we got one for The Melting Pot and planned a big date.
(2) When we went to the restaurant, I did research beforehand to try to come up with a coupon. I found out that I could sign up for Club Fondue and quickly received a coupon for a free Chocolate Fondue for two. The trick was not to print the coupon right away as the expiration date was 2 weeks from printing.
*** Using these two tips helped us get a 3-course dinner at The Melting Pot for under $30!
New Freebie Idea
I just received an email stating that The Melting Pot will be giving away prizes to Facebook fans. Go here to sign up.
