Washington, DC: Restaurant Week 1/11 - 1/17

For those who live in the Washington, DC area: Restaurant Week begins Monday!

If you're not familiar with Restaurant Week, let us bring you up to speed.
  • It happens twice a year in the DC area, once in January and once in August.
  • Local restaurant opt to participate and offer 3-course fixed price menus for lunch and/or dinner.
  • Reservations can sometimes be hard to get depending on the day of the week, so it pays to plan ahead.
  • It's cheap and a GREAT way to try out a higher-end restaurant to celebrate a special occasion. For instance you could celebrate your birthday, Valentine's Day, or anniversary a little early!
The 2010 pricing is $20.10 for a 3-course fixed price lunch per person and $35.10 for a 3-course fixed price dinner per person.

Click here to make reservations and peruse the list of restaurants. I'm pleased to see that The Melting Pot is participating this time around. I wish I would have saved my gift card!

I can speak from experience that these restaurants would all feature yummy food:

FYI - a lot of them are extending the restaurant week prices for an extra week. Hubby and I are going to Art & Soul. I've wanted to go ever since the Obamas went and just wanted to go even more when Chef Art was on Top Chef Masters.
