5 Reasons to Visit Giant This Week, 10/23-10/29

Some potential freebies this coming week at Giant - and cheeeeap apples. We haven't had time to check/print all of these links ourselves, so caveat printor!
  1. Mueller's Pasta, 1 lb. box for $1
$0.55/1 whole wheat here, will likely double
Final price: Could mean FREE pasta!

  2. Gala, McIntosh, or Red or Golden Delicious Apples, in tote bags, $0.59/lb. (Save at least $0.40/lb.)
There is so much to be done with this rock-bottom price:
This pomegranate and apple crisp looks delicious - and very compatible with this week's cheap apples and pom's!
Or try this pretty and simple apple pie recipe (hey, 2500+ people giving it 5 stars can't be wrong! :-p)
4-ingredient applesauce - also highly rated

  3. 2000 Flushes, 1.25 oz-3.5 oz., BOGO
    $0.55/1, 07/26 SS, or $1/1, 08/16 'other' and 09/27 SS
Lowest possible price: price of one, minus $2.20 if you use two $0.55/1 coupons, for TWO boxes
1.25 oz. box probably runs ~$4, give or take, so ~$1.80 for two would be good

  4. Sylvania CFL Line, BOGO
$1/1 CFL printable here, use two since you're getting two
Final price: Cost of one compact fluorescent bulb, minus $2, for TWO bulbs
Bonus: Buy $5 worth of Sylvania CFL Light Bulbs and get a FREE Earth Day Reusable Bag
Double Bonus: According to government program Energy Star, "An ENERGY STAR qualified compact fluorescent light bulb (CFL) will save about $30 over its lifetime and pay for itself in about 6 months. It uses 75 percent less energy and lasts about 10 times longer than an incandescent bulb."

  5. Halls Cough Drops, 2/$3
BOGO tearpad coupon on Halls Refresh, spotted in Giant, final price: $0.75/each
    $0.35/1 20 ct.+, 09/27 SS, final price: $0.80/each
$0.50/1, October All You, final price = $0.50/bag
$0.75/1 Refresh, 09/27 SS, final price = FREE!

The Neslte bags of candy in the Maryland Giant Ad are 2/$4. If you use the $2.00 printable Nestle coupon out right now, you'll get some FREE chocolate.

I investigated this possibility, but the printables for $2 off were for the large bags (24 oz. or so), whereas the ones at Giant were 12ish oz. Unless...you've found a $2 Nestle printable for the 10-12 oz. bags...? :)

Hi RU Ladies,
On my weekly circular on a small flap (and on page 9-10 of the online version) there is this "Save $5 instantly off your shopping order 10/23/09-10/29/09: Use Your Giant Card and purchase $20 worth of participating Advantage items in one transaction and $5 will be deducted instantly from your order when you check out. Limit 1 offer per transaction." Participating products are listed on page 10 of the online circular. Off the top of my head, some of the products that might have good coupon match-ups are: Arm & Hammer (printables), Newman's Own Frozen Pizza ($1 RP 10/25 - strangely I already got this in my 10/20 Fairfax Times), Newman's Own entire line (salad dressing, pasta sauce, salsa, marinades, popcorn and cereal), Honey Bunches of Oats ($2 printable from Manufacturer's website). I bet you ladies can put together some great scenarios!

I went to Giant last night and they didn't carry the whole grain pasta so I couldn't use the coupon. Oh well! I did get the bag of apples and the $1.77 bacon.

Looking at this weeks ad now!

Thanks Girls!
