We're starting a new series, inspired by We are THAT Family. Works-for-me Wednesday is a blog carnival or series that I've enjoyed reading on others' blogs, so I thought I'd start sharing my 2 cents here at Redemption Unlimited. In this series you'll see tips on organizing, cooking, parenting, shopping, and anything else that interests you. I welcome your feedback and would love to hear from you via comment below!
Now on to what works for me:
I keep a tote bag at the ready, usually on the stairpost outside our kitchen, for me to organize myself in preparation for errands. I don't have a specific "errand day" each week, but when I know I'm heading somewhere in the direction of one of my errands, the bag is at the ready. In the bag I put checks to deposit, items to return, outbound mail for the mailbox, shopping lists, library books to be returned, etc. As I'm heading out the door, I grab the bag, place it in the car and remember better the errands that need to be run. This bag has a sturdy canvas bottom, which means that it sits well on the kitchen counter or on the floor of my car. Essential feature.
It works for me!
