We will post matchups here, so come back to this post to see the list grow in the next few days!
.
First and foremost, Post cereals are 2/$4, no limits. There was a coupon for $1/2 Post Cereals in the 03/08 SmartSource insert - a manufacturer coupon. There is a retailer coupon in the Shopper's Food Warehouse ad for the coming week for $1 off two (exp. 04/08/09). These should in theory be stackable - because they are from different sources - just like you can stack Safeway Supercoupons and manufacturer coupons, or stack CVS coupons with manufacturer coupons. I predict that the manufacturer coupon will double, but that the retailer one will not, which will result in $1 for two boxes - just $0.50/each for cereal! Edit: The fab Gina of Moneywise Moms pulled this Post deal off - and got Catalina printouts, to boot! This made the cereal even cheaper in net terms. Check out the summary of her April Shopper's double coupon trip here to see how she did the Post deal, and got FREE popcorn and Huggies bath products. Incidentally, A. tried this deal, and both the store and manufacturer coupons were accepted, but no Catalina printed out. Reader Ashley reports (in the comments) that her store would not accept both - so how far this deal can go appears to be a 'depending on your cashier/store' kind of a thing. A commenter on Gina's blog also noted, "To further your savings on the Raisin Bran deal, sign up for Upromise ecoupons. Save $2 on 3 Post Cereals (Raisin Bran) and Save $1 on 2 Post Kids Cereal. Use manufacturer coupons of $1/2 Post and $1/2 Kids Post cereals. By putting all these together you could actually make $.55 on 5 boxes of cereal!"
Dannon Yoghurt is 10/$5, or $0.50 each, but if you double the $1/10 Dannon coupon from the 03/15 SS, you will get them for $0.30 each!
Other coupon matchups found in the Shopper's Food Warehouse weekly circular:
14 oz. boxes of Cheerios are 2/$7, or $3.50 each. There was a $1.00/3 coupon in the 01/04 General Mills insert. When doubled, you get 3/$8.50, or $2.83. Not a good deal, but a matchup nonetheless.
Kellogg's Frosted Flakes varieties are 2/$7, or $3.50 each. AFullCup's coupon database says that the 04/01 Red Plum insert had a $1.00/1 Kellogg's cereal (10 oz.+), which would make these $1.50 each. You can probably do better with a $1.00 off any Kellogg's coupon, though, so unless you need cereal, save the coupon for a later sale.
Ragu is 2/$4. The 04/01 (or 03/31?) Red Plum had a $0.30/1 coupon, which would double, making the Ragu $1.40/jar.

When you buy two, you can probably use the Shopper's Food Warehouse weekly ad coupon (a manufacturer coupon) for buy two Hillshire Farm Deli Select Lunchmeats, and get a Lay's Potato Chips (10.5-11 oz bag!) FREE!

(Really - you'll probably be better off using this at a different candy sale unless you need to make Easter baskets yesterday.)

I haven't seen anyone mention Bumblebee. They didn't actually *have* the things in my store, but a Bumblebee coupon (an old one - maybe early February - I'm sorry I don't remember) has "Prime Filets" $1/1. They were priced at $2 at my store, which would have made them free, had they been in stock.
And just for fun:
Sharon at UnfinishedMom saved 64% at Shopper's this weekend, bringing ~$90 worth of groceries down to $32. Woo hoo! Go, girl!

Oh my goodness. So glad I've found you. I shop at Shoppers regularly, and this is extremely helpful!
Welcome, sister! Hope that we can save you some coin. :)
I tried using both cereal coupons but they would only accept one, even though the one in the flyer was a store coupon. Still a pretty good deal though!
Hi, Ashley,
Thanks so much for giving feedback on this!
Incidentally, when A. tried the cereal deal - all the coupons were accepted (and maybe even doubled...? still not sure about that), but no Catalina printed out.
We mentioned your story briefly in the cereal paragraph in the original post to give people a heads-up that it may not work as cheaply as they might hope.
But you're right - 2 boxes for $2 is still pretty cheap!
Thanks for the tips - I also found peelies on some of the Poptarts for $1/1 ... so, since they were priced at $2, they were free after coupon... I think that's the only one I found you don't already have listed!
thanks for all your work, it is very helpful...quick question-do you have to buy all items on a Xfor$X deal? or do you just get the sale price if you only buy one of them? and is the 10 for $10 a mix and match or just 10 of that item?
Christye - great question. I've gotten the sale price in the past without buying the 'X' number on the sale tag. For example, I bought 'non-X' quantities of the Dole pineapples, and still got the sale price per unit.
Laura - thanks for the contribution on the FREE (woo!) Pop-Tarts. I am adding them to our master list!
Thanks so much for these tips. I also found these free or nearly free:
-Oikos Greek-style yogurt 5.3 oz. cups, $2 - $1 coupon in today's paper insert=FREE
-Daisy Sour Cream 8 oz. 3/$4 - .60 coupon from today's insert = 0.13
-Thai Kitchen Instant Rice Noodle Soup from $.89 to .95 - .50 coupon from insert several weeks ago = FREE
-and Johnsonville breakfast sausage patties were just .79 with today's coupon.
Woo Hoo! I just saved a ton at Shoppers! Total Spent $32.31; Total Saved: $57.95!! And earned $5.75 in Catalina! Happy, Happy!
I posted about it here: http://unfinishedmom.blogspot.com/2009/04/40-challenge-1st-week.html
Thanks so much for sharing your savings, ladies!! We're doing happy dances for you too (sing it with us: "Iiiiii'm every woman..." lol).
We will be adding both of your post info to our master matchup list. Reader feedback on these deals is the BEST!
I gathered up all my $1 coupons and went to Shoppers yesterday. Since I only just started couponing I was missing most of the coupons in your suggested matchups so that was unfortunate. Still, I had a nice handful of coupons for things we regularly use so I figured it was worth the trip. I'd never actually shopped at Shoppers before (except maybe to run in and grab one or two things) so it was a new experience. I have to say, though, that I was disappointed. I don't know if all SFW's are terribly disorganized and poorly staffed or if it was just the one I was at (I was at the one in Chantilly, VA, not the one closest to me but I was doing some other errands in that area. I would not go back to this store). It took me a long time to find everything and many items were either out of stock or not stocked at all (pretty normal things like kitchen trash bags, batteries and foil pans) I then spent at least 20 minutes waiting in line to check out and had problems with a few of my coupons. The cashier refused to accept my internet coupons (is this a SFW policy now?) and a couple of my coupons didn't double. By this point I had a crying baby so I just asked to return the items that didn't have working coupons and went on my way. Overall, I got a few good deals and saved $40 (it was only 28% savings since I got a few more expensive items like Brita filters). I'm still sticking with Wegmans for my regular shopping but might brave Shopper's again if they will double my $1 coupons.
