Bloom (Monday Only) and Harris Teeter Double Coupons this Week!

Frugal Friends' post alerted us that TOMORROW Monday, November 1 ONLY, Bloom is doubling coupons up to $1.99 in value, limit 20 coupons per transaction.

Freebies to be had for sure! Details on this (and this week's Harris Teeter doubles) HERE.

Currently Updating Giant Deals

I'm currently updating the Giant deals to show some dollar doubler deals. Check the Giant post - I'll republish throughout the evening in case it gives anyone a chance to get their own coupons together. Barilla Picollini pasta should be FREE, woo hoo!

5 Reasons to Visit Giant This Week, 09/10-09/16

Ahhh, that back-to-school spring is in everyone's step, and the stock-up deals are flooding Giant's ads now that everyone's back in town. There are also dollar doublers in this week's ad, as I mentioned. I haven't had time yet to rake through the entire Giant ad and the online coupon database to determine if there are any hot matches (I was out of town this weekend - the last of the summer trips), so if anybody has found any good deals, please feel free to post a comment!

Hot deals when coupons double typically include:

• Yoplait/Dannon $1 coupons
• Cascadian Farms/Muir Glen $1 coupons
• New cereal flavor release $1 coupons
• $1 coupons for new back-to-school lunchbox or snack packaged items

...so keep your eyes peeled - I will, too, and add to this post as I can!

1. SUPER G Boneless Chicken Breast, $1.99/lb. (Save $2.30/lb.)
This is stock-up price...rarely gets cheaper, so make room in your freezer!

2. Whole Boneless Pork Loin, half price @ $1.99/lb. (Save at least $2/lb.)

3. White Seedless Grapes, $0.99/lb. (Save $1.50/lb.) - also a historical low. I read once that Victoria Beckham freezes grapes as an indulgence.

4. Broccoli Crowns, $0.99/lb. (Save at least $0.70/lb.)
Steam it, stir-fry it, or pack it raw with some dip in school lunches.

5. Campbell's Chicken Noodle Soup (or Regular Tomato Soup), 2/$1
Looks like the 08/29 SS has a $0.40/3 coupon, which - if applicable - would result in getting three for $0.70 - $0.23/ea. What a deal!

Giant = Dollar Doublers this Week!! :)

My Giant ad which came in today's Washington Post has four dollar doublers - woo hoo! Check and save your Giant ad in the coming days as the one in-store almost never has the doublers attached. Also - ping your neighbors or friends to see if they will be using theirs.

I will sniff through the ad to try and find a few good deals to note in the upcoming weekly deals post. In the meantime, feel free to make a comment on this post with any suggested coupon matches! :)

Bloom to do Double Coupons in September, up to $0.99 in value

Reader Amy followed up (thanks, Amy!) to let us know that Bloom is making good on the rumor. Looks like September it will double coupons up to $0.99 in value. (Note that - as far as I can recall, anyway - Shopper's Food Warehouse, Safeway, Giant, and other area stores already do this all the time.)

If you have any hot deals or freebies that you snag at Bloom using doubled coupons, be sure to post a comment!

Alert: Bloom Double Coupons Likely Later This Week!

We got a tip from reader Amy via email. She says,

"...my favorite check out person at Bloom that starting Wednesday they will be doubling up to $0.99 (manufacturers coupons only). She said she thinks it is going to last the entire month. I'm in Fredericksburg and heard this at the Bloom on Rt. 2. :-)"

SWEEEET. If Amy's tip works out, it would be an ideal time to shuffle through your coupon envelopes and flag the hot ones under $0.99. Bloom typically limits to 20 in one transaction, so to max out your trip it would be great to have those 20 ready to go - could get you in and out fairly quickly!

Thanks so much, Amy, for your email! :-D

Shoppers Food Warehouse: Double/Triple Manufacturers' Coupons!

Here we go!
8 FULL DAYS - Wed., Aug. 18th through Wed., Aug. 25th

DOUBLE Manufacturers' Coupons up to $1.00 - please limit four(4) identical manufacturers' coupons. No other restrictions apply.

TRIPLE Manufacturers' Coupons up to $.50 - please limit four(4) identical manufacturers' coupons. No other restrictions apply.

Stay tuned!

Giant: Dollar Doublers Spotted!

I just opened my Wednesday Washington Post and was happy to see 4 Dollar Doubler coupons on the front of this week's Giant ad(7/30-8/5).

As usual, the fine print states:
Redeem 1 or all 4 with just one $15 minimum purchase. $1 manufacturer coupon must accompany each Giant doubler coupon at the time of purchase with your Giant card.

Since these aren't usually found in-store, I may be asking a neighbor or friend for a second set.

Dollar doubler dance!

5 Reasons to Visit Giant This Week, 07/23-07/29

Big berry deals! Talk about a good week for making smoothies. :)

And before this kicks off - we just received a email from a reader (thanks!!) stating that the Fredericksburg Giant refused Internet coupons on the basis that too many customers are abusing them. Since I haven't redeemed an Internet coupon at Giant for a while, I thought that I'd ping our readers to get a readout for recent Internet coupon acceptance or rejections. If you're inclined, please leave a comment with details (including location). If this is happening at more than just a single Giant location, it could definitely change how I do the Giant matchups...obviously not spending the time hunting down and linking to printable coupons. Thanks in advance for participating!

NOW $0.75/1 Goldfish Printable Coupon

There is a $0.35/1 NOW $0.75/1 (thanks, Lynn!) coupon for Pepperidge Farm goldfish crackers at coupons.com. Print this puppy now, because the printables are limited in quantity. If it has no restrictions once printed (I haven't gotten a chance to print yet myself), you could use it with the triplers at Giant to get $1.05 off of a single bag of goldfish crackers, making them somewhere between FREE and $0.25!

Shopper's Coupon Booklet Spotted in Local Paper - Includes Freebies and Cheapies This Week!

I'm not sure if this also appeared in the Washington Post (as I only have our local paper here for reference), but Shopper's Food Warehouse issued a coupon booklet with store coupons resulting in some pretty sweet savings. Judging by the wording (Limit one (1) coupon per household), I'm fairly sure that you cannot combine these coupons with manufacturer coupons, but there are still some good deals, including a freebie!

Here are some of the best coupons that I saw in the booklet, good 06/09/10-06/16/10:

• Coca-Cola 20-packs, $3.99 (Equivalent 12-pack price would be $2.39, or $0.19/can - not too shabby)
  Limit One 20-pack

• Post Cereals, 11-20 oz. box, selected varieties, $0.99
  Limit 2 boxes per coupon

• FREE Betty Crocker Frosting with coupon
Limit one package per coupon when you buy a Betty Crocker Cake Mix (thanks, Amy!!!)
Note: You could use a Betty Crocker Cake Mix coupon, probably, if you have one.
The 05/02 SmartSource has a coupon for $0.75 off a cake mix and frosting both, which would double to $1.50 off, but my instincts say that this may not play with the Shopper's coupon because it says one coupon per household.

• Stone Ridge Creamery Real Ice Cream, $1.49/ea.
  Limit one carton per coupon

• Banquet Meals, 2/$1
  Limit 2 packages per coupon

• Oscar Mayer Turkey Bacon Club Pack (36 oz. total), $3.99 (Save $3 off retail)
  Limit one per coupon

• Athena Canteloupes, $0.99/ea. ($2 saved off retail)
  Limit one per coupon

• Tomatoes on the vine, $0.99/lb. (Save $0.70/lb.)

Dollar Doubler Coupons at Giant

I saw yesterday that my print Giant ad in the mail had four dollar doubler coupons! If your ad has these, be sure to ask your friends and neighbors for theirs if they are not going to use them, since the in-store ads do not typically include additional copies of the doubler coupons. You can use 4 in any transaction of $15 or more to double four $1 off coupons.

I will also try to post some dollar doubler matchups over the weekend in the original Giant deals post. One potential freebie I've already spotted is for the $1/2 Bertolli coupons (see in the top 5 deals), which could possibly double to get the 10/$10-priced Bertolli pastas for free!

Shopper's Double/Triples Updated Already - With Many $1 Bricks Printable Coupons

Go to the original Shopper's matchups post here to see a long list that I've just added of some existing $1 bricks coupons which may yield some good deals. Haven't had a chance to print/check them yet myself, but thought they'd come in handy for those of you planning trips tomorrow. :)

Shopper's Food Warehouse Double/Triple Coupons 04/22 through 04/25, Master Matchups List

First things first: Unfinished Mom Sharon noted in a comment that her ad (and her Eldersburg Maryland store, upon calling) indicated no doubles/triples, so unfortunately it looks as though Shopper's is doing "select stores" only again. Thanks, Sharon, for letting us know! If your ad shows no indicator of doubling or tripling, we advise that you call ahead before investing your sweat in having your coupons prepped.

OK, ladies and gents, here we go.

• Coupons $0.50 and under triple.
• Coupons $0.51-$1 double.
• Please limit yourselves to four (4) identical coupons. No other restrictions apply.
• The promotion runs from Thursday, April 22 through Sunday, April 25.
• Printable coupons are accepted. Shopper's Food Warehouse everyday coupon-doubling policy says "SHOPPERS will double the value of valid manufacturers’ coupons with a face-value of up to 99¢ (example: 25¢ = 50¢, 50¢ = $1.00, 75¢ = $1.50.) Valid manufacturers’ coupons with a face-value of $1.00 or greater will be redeemed at face-value only (example: $1.00 = $1.00, $1.50 = $1.50, $2.00 = $2.00.)" Ergo "up to $1.00" wording advertised in the ad for the promo should include $1.00-valued coupons, non?

Note that the Internet coupon policy has been clarified to read: "SHOPPERS will accept valid manufacturers’ coupons obtained from the internet with a face-value up to $1.00. Internet coupons with a face value of $1.01 or above or FREE offers will not be accepted."

We'll start with matchups from ad's sale prices, generally progressing front to back. I'm focusing more on super-cheap or free deals. (That is, $2 off a $13 jug of detergent probably won't be posted...) I will bold cheapies and freebies, so scan the list with your eyes for the highlights.

As I have out-of-town company at our house this weekend, it may be a few days before I even get to Shopper's this time around (if at all, knock on wood...). SO - that said, if you make it to Shopper's before me, which is almost certain, be sure to stop by and post a comment with the deals you scooped!
